Have you ever wanted more Bible training, but believed you didn’t have time or money to make it happen? Good Bible training gives us balance and perspective. We develop hooks to hang our ideas on.
Here are two great places for getting training that are FREE:
- Dimensions of the Faith from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. This program gives the student an introduction to Old and New Testament, Theology, Church History, Bible Interpretation, and Missions. Here’s the link: https://www.gordonconwell.edu/dimensions-of-the-faith/.
- William Mounce has done the church a great service in developing BiblicalTraining.org. The site offers free individual classes and programs that are roughly equivalent to seminary. The site has made me rethink pastoral training. What if a student stayed home and worked with his pastor in the practical areas of ministry while working on seminary-level training on this site. His home pastor could be advisor and mentor through the training and advocate when the student is ready for ministry. No debt.
I’m always looking for good Bible training sites. If you know of others, drop me a line!
